How I work.

Four rules that have not changed across five years of client and product work.

I care about clear scope, secure data handling and delivery in small, testable steps. Before writing code I separate the work into scope and risks; I protect existing data, plan migrations carefully and document the setup, deployment and operational checks that come after.

  1. Scope before code

    I write down the scope, the assumptions and the risks before the first commit, so the surprises arrive on paper instead of in production.

  2. Small, testable steps

    Delivery is split into milestones that can each be reviewed and rolled back on their own, with automated tests carrying the parts that must not regress.

  3. Existing data is protected

    Migrations are planned and rehearsed, access is checked on the server side, and what happened stays readable in the audit log.

  4. Handover is part of the work

    Setup, deployment and the operational checks that come after are documented, so the system does not depend on me being reachable.
